Leave your finds on the ground for friends
One key drops a single item, another drops the whole stack: share your planks on the building site and your friends just pick them up.
To leave something for a friend, select it and press X: one of it drops at your feet. Shift + X drops the whole stack in one go. Your friend only has to walk up to it to pick it up.
Help a friend out on the building site
Your neighbour has run out of planks to finish a wall? Drop a stack at the foot of the site. The planks stay on the ground, ready to be collected: they only become a wall once your friend places them.
With several players, everyone gets their share. If two players reach the same stack, the first takes what they pick up and the second finds what is left. Nobody walks off with double.
Pick up what fits in your bag
Bag nearly full? You only take what fits, and the rest of the stack waits on the ground. Empty a few things into a chest, then come back for the rest.
Keep your stock in a chest
Items on the ground do not stay there forever. A stack disappears after fifteen minutes of play. That time only counts while the world is running: close your solo game and open it again the next day, and your stack has not spent the night outside.
A world keeps at most three hundred stacks on the ground. Beyond that, the oldest ones go, even before their fifteen minutes are up.
To keep your materials from one session to the next, a chest is still the place for them. On a shared site, drop what is needed right now and keep the reserve in a chest. Once the wall is finished, pick up any planks lying around.
