Overview
This website measures its audience with Google Analytics only if you accept it in the banner, which you can decline in one click. The free game does not require an account and the website has no advertising. Server buyers have a management account accessible by email.
Data controller
TONAYR, SAS, 120 rue de l'Église, 24560 Colombier, France. Contact : ayrtonpgt@gmail.com.
Third-party services
Google Analytics, only after your consent (below). Fonts, images and other scripts are served by this website: your browser does not contact Google Fonts or an advertising network.
Audience measurement (Google Analytics)
If you click “Accept” in the banner, the website loads Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited. It sets cookies (_ga, _ga_…) for up to 13 months and sends Google the pages you view, the length of your visit, the website you came from, your device type and an approximate location. Google Analytics 4 does not record your IP address. TONAYR uses it to see which pages are read and where visitors come from; event data is kept for 14 months. The legal basis is your consent. Google may transfer this data to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
The game, at game.playcabane.com, asks the same question in its menu, and the wiki, at wiki.playcabane.com, at the bottom of its pages; one answer covers the website, the game and the wiki. In the game, Google Analytics also receives the start of each game (continued, new or multiplayer) and its mode, Creative or Survival.
If you decline, nothing is loaded. Your choice is kept for 6 months in a cookie (cabane_consent); the “Cookies” link at the bottom of every page, or the game’s Options screen, lets you change it at any time.
When you buy a server
- Data processed: your email address and country, entered on the payment page, together with the customer ID and subscription information sent to us by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe: TONAYR never sees them.
- Purpose: to create and operate your server, manage your subscription, issue invoices and answer your enquiries. The legal basis is your contract with us; for invoices, it also includes our accounting obligations.
- Who has access: TONAYR; Stripe, which processes payment (Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment page); Railway, which hosts the game servers in its European region in Amsterdam; Resend, which receives your email address and the contents of order confirmations and sign-in emails.
- Retention period: for the subscription period, then a further 30 days for your server and world; invoices and payment data required for accounting are kept for 10 years, as required by law.
In the game, each player’s chosen nickname is shown to other players on the server during play. The saved world also contains game profiles, their last nickname and permissions. The owner can see these nicknames and assign admin rights. The browser’s technical identity is stored as a hash.
Your management account
Sign-in uses a private link sent to the email address used for payment. The link expires after 15 minutes and can be used once. A secure session cookie, inaccessible to scripts, keeps you signed in for up to 30 days; signing out revokes it. Sign-in requests are rate limited to prevent abusive emails. Account and payment return pages do not load Google Analytics.
Hosting logs
Like any web server, the hosting server records technical requests (IP address, date, requested page and browser) to keep the website secure and working correctly. These logs are held by the website host (named in the legal notice), under its own retention policy, and are not used for any other purpose.
Your rights
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, write to ayrtonpgt@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
The game in your browser
At a game server address, the game stores your settings, single-player save and server invitation code in your browser so you do not have to enter them again. When joining a multiplayer game, the invitation code and browser identity are sent to that server to verify access and retrieve the game profile. Single-player saves stay in your browser.
iPhone, iPad and Android apps
The installed apps keep your single-player world, settings and technical player identifier on your device. These files may be included in the backups managed by your operating system. Single-player play does not send your world to a game server. The apps contain no advertising and do not load Google Analytics.
If you join a multiplayer server, the app sends that server your nickname, technical identifier, invitation code, game actions and chat messages so it can check access and run the shared game. Other players see your nickname, messages and actions. The server saves your game profile and changes to the shared world; these data are used to provide the game, not for advertising or tracking across other apps. To request deletion of data held on a TONAYR-hosted server, contact ayrtonpgt@gmail.com, identifying the server and your nickname. For an independently operated server, contact its operator.
